Todd Hayen is a registered psychotherapist, author, and former film composer based in Toronto, Canada. He specializes in archetypal and Jungian depth psychology, exploring the intersections of the soul, consciousness, and the modern world.

His writing—including his widely followed Substack, Shrew Views—has inspired thousands to question dominant narratives and explore life’s deeper truths. Prior to his work in psychology, Hayen spent over three decades in Hollywood composing music for film and television, giving him a rare dual lens: one artistic, the other deeply humanistic.

This book is a product of both perspectives—an urgent call for deeper thinking in an increasingly surface-level world.
